The use of "Splash" screens in JafSoft evaluation software

The evaluation copies of JafSoft utilities all show a "splash" screen when the program is started, and in some cases when it is shut down. This Splash screen shows how many days are left in the evaluation period, and contains links to the online registration pages.

Please note, this screen is NOT present in the registered versions of our software; if you're seeing this screen it can only be because you are still running the evaluation version.

Unlike many utilities, JafSoft's software does not employ unlock codes to grant access to the registered functionality, so if you are seeing this screen it can only be because you are still running the evaluation version.

The only way to get rid of this screen is to purchase the software and to download a new - fully registered - version of the software. You can do this by following the links in the software itself, or by following links from

"I've already registered, but I'm still seeing this screen"

As stated above, if you're seeing this message it means you're still running the evaluation version. The registered version doesn't show any such message.

You should have downloaded and installed the registered version using the instructions sent to you after you registered. These instructions will be in your SWREG or ShareIT receipt, or will have been emailed to you manually sometime after your PayPal purchase.

If you've done this and are still seeing the "splash" screen, then it's possible that the icon you're using is pointing to the older version, rather than any newer installation. Alternatively the installation might have asked you if you wanted to overwrite the existing program, and you may have said no by mistake.

Either way, I would suggest that you first uninstall all copies of the software by going to add/remove software in the Control Panel and selecting the software from the list. You may find two versions here, if so uninstall both - you might see a few error messages during any second uninstall. Uninstalling should remove all traces of the software - specifically icons and Start Menu options - from your system.

Once you've done that, unzip the registered version you've downloaded and run the setup program. This will install the registered version onto your system, which should solve your problem.

If you continue to have problems please let us know.
